Pastor: Rev. Dr. J. Richard McDuffie, Jr.

J. Richard "Rick" McDuffie, Jr. is a native of Southeastern North Carolina and a descendant of the original Highland Scot Presbyterian settlers of the Cape Fear region.  He grew up in Lumberton and holds a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from Campbell University , plus two graduate seminary degrees.  Rick has been a pastor since 1979, and has been a Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian (USA) since 2001.  He has also spent time serving in the United Church of Christ as an interim minister.  In his free time, Rick enjoys playing guitar and euphonium, working with his horses, gardening and reading American and world history and a wide variety of other subjects.  Rick and his wife Debbie have three daughters and (at present) three grandsons and four granddaughters.  Rick enjoys many aspects of church life at Westminster, but is especially glad that the Westminster people have a high degree of commitment to their church family and the Kingdom of God.  He is also thankful for the church's delightful sense of humor!

Director of Youth and Church Program Ministries
Erin Wehrmeister ----

Erin Wehrmeister grew up in the Dallas, Texas area and attended Presbyterian churches her entire life. She is a Texas State graduate, with degrees in Public Relations and English. She also earned a Certificate in Youth & Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. Erin has worked with the youth at several Texas churches & served as the chaplain for the Christian sorority, Sigma Phi Lambda. Upon graduation, she worked with the Center for Student Missions in Washington, DC, followed by various jobs ranging from a rental car company to marketing for a hockey team! She moved to North Carolina and joined staff as a secretary & bookkeeper, while volunteering with our youth and working with the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina Youth Council. Erin is especially excited to be the Director of Youth & Program ministries here at WPC. She is the aunt to 5 wonderful kiddos back in Texas and "mom to one un-impressible cat. Erin loves this church family and feels blessed to be a part of a community that loves Jesus, supports ALL generations, joyfully shares the gospel AND owns a disco ball, Gallagher mallet for watermelons (seriously) and a cardboard Jesus cut-out. You know¦ just in case.
